Share your Android internet via hotspot to the devices of your choice. Allow only those devices which you prefer to have access to your internet.

You can allow devices of your choice to have access to a portable Wi-Fi hotspot of your Android device. There is a difference between password protection of hotspot where you have to provide the password for providing your internet. Here you have to enter the details of the device to which you wish to provide internet hotspot service.
Follow the steps below:
  1. Open settings.
  2. Tap on more networks.
  3. Check for the option called Tethering and portable hotspot and tap on it.

  5. Here you will notice an option called Allowed devices. Tap on it.

  6. Add devices to the list to which you wish to provide a hotspot.

To add devices, you need MAC address of the device. To know MAC address of the Android device:
  1. Open settings.
  2. Tap on the option called Wi-Fi.
  3. Open menu option (Tap on three dots on the screen or on capacitive buttons).
  4. Check for the option called advanced. Tap on it.

  5. Note down the MAC address.

Add this MAC address to the list of allowed devices as stated above. To give access to only allowed devices check for the option called only allowed devices and right tick on it.
This is it you now provide your internet via hotspot to the devices only you allowed.

Note: These features may not be present in all Android devices.
